The Oratory of St. Rocco in Bologna Dedicated to Patron Saint
The Oratory of St. Rocco in Bologna is dedicated to the patron saint and healer of the plague stricken. Visitors can see some beautiful frescoes painted by pupils of Carracci which date from 1618. There are eleven fresco paintings here which depict the life of the saint, and the ceiling is also worthy of note. It is the work of several well-known artists including Canuti and Cavedoni and represents the Virtues, the city’s patrons, the doctors of the Church and the Evangelists. Visits to the oratory can be made by appointment. Visitors can come and enjoy the accommodations with great facilities along with fantastic discounts in bologna Italy hotels.
