Battistero is the second famous and most religious building of Pisa. It is built in the replacement of the older baptistery. Its facing of cathedral has two classical columns. Its inner jambs are completely affected by the Byzantine style. Its two tiers of lintel have the several episodes of the life of St. Baptist and Christ between the Madonna and St. John Baptist. Battistero’s that part which shows St John Baptist’s life is its lower part while its upper part shows the Christ of Madonna and Baptist.
